With his passing..

Although we never had a chance to meet, I feel as though I have known
you for many years. As a friend of Kate's I have heard many stories
of not only Logan, but Corvallis and beyond. Just with hearing the
passion and love she has for you more than describes to me how amazing
you are, and how loved you will always be. You have been a very
special, and most unique man in many people's lives. I want to
express my regret for not formally knowing you, but can only hope to
meet someday.

As for the family and close friends, I am truly sorry for his passing.
It is remarkable how incredibly loved he has, and will continue to
forever be. The greatest love and compassion is one that begins with
a family as great as yours. It radiates and flourishes with every
moment. You all are an inspiration to me. Thank you for allowing me
to write something.
