Danny Boy
Dan,
What a guy you are! I was one of the lucky ones. I became best friends with Becky later on in our high school life's and how everyday I am thankful for that. She and I were very awkward, not so cute, kind of chubby but you always made me feel like I was beautiful even if the 16 and 17 year old boys thought I was big and hairy! I can think back to many memories that I was so lucky to have with you. Once I was waiting for Bec to come home from somewhere and you waited with me for about an hour. Not because you had to but because you wanted to. We sat together on the front porch of the old Logan house making fun of every car that passed by. It was a game you liked to play. I didn't understand at first but you slowly explained the rules of the game and we entertained ourselves for a good hour. Or should I say, you entertained me for a good hour. Another Dan phrase that comes to mind is the famous, "douch my benis, go on douch it." Still to this day, I use that line, however, I pay full credit to you. Know that you will always be remembered by all who met you. I pray that in my own life I can leave an impression on people as you did. Know that I will live my life as a better person because of you. Know that I will try to be caring and loving like you were. I will care and try to make people feel special like you did. (Even if they are two high school girls who eat and eat and eat and then complain about how big and or hairy they are after.) I miss you Dan, someday we will meet again and that will be an awesome day.
Love,
