Dan, What an AWESOME young man!!

Dan,

I met you while you were young!! I thought you were
GREAT!! Then I got the chance to teach you. I know
that you were having some hard times then, but you
were ALWAYS positive!! I LOVED being your teacher!! I
remember our “talks” and basketball shoot-outs!! I
LOVED being your “FRIEND” as well!! I don’t ever
remember seeing you when you didn’t greet me with a
big smile and hand shake or hug, with a good pat on
the back!! I ALWAYS “Checked on you” through your mom,
until she moved!! I have missed the contact with one
of my favorite families!!

I LOVE your family!! I KNOW that you will be so
GREATLY missed by them. They thought so very highly of
you!!

I was so SHOCKED and SADDENED to read about your
untimely departure from this life!! I will ALWAYS
remember you as one of my favorite students and
friends!!
